To restore a course in the LMS, log in, select the desired course and click on the triple dots.
Under the dropdown menu, click on Course reuse.
Click on Restore.
The Upload a Backup File area allows administrators to manually upload a course backup file in .mbz format for restoration.
The Course Backup Area stores previously created course backup files, allowing administrators to access and restore saved versions without needing to upload a new file.
The User Private Backup Area is a dedicated space where individual users can store their own course backup files.
Once the method has been chosen, click on Restore.
The Backup details section provides an overview of the backup process, displaying key information such as the course name, backup date, and included elements.
The Backup Settings section allows users to customize what is included in the backup file.
The Course details section displays essential information about the course being backed up or restored, such as the course title, short name, and sections.
Click on Continue to proceed with the next step.
The Restore as a New Course option allows users to create a completely new course using a backup file.
The Restore into This Course option is used to overwrite an existing course with the content from a backup.
The Restore into an Existing Course option enables users to merge the backup content into an already existing course.
The Restore Settings section allows users to configure how a course backup is restored.
Click on Next to continue the restoration process.
The Course Settings section in the restore process allows users to configure key details of the course being restored.
Click on Next again to review the restoration details.
This final page, right before performing the restoration, provides a summary of all selected options.
Click Perform restore to finalize the process.
Once completed, click Continue. It will bring you to the Manage courses and categories page.
In the page, the restored course should now be in the previously selected category.
